WHAT I DID 

  • Went door to door collecting recyclable materials from different household 

  • Sorted each item into recyclables and non-recyclable 

  • Ensured that the items are in the correct state for recycling 

  • Loading the recyclable items at the correct area for collection

challenges

  • There were a lot of households who provided us recyclable items 

  • Having to sieve through all the different bags to make sure that we pick out the recyclable items   

  • Running short on time before the recycling truck comes to pick up the items 

WHAT I learned 

  • It takes a lot of steps to ensure that the materials are in the right condition to be recycled 

  • Education on proper steps to recycle items 

  • Importance of recycling items for the environment
