What i did
-
I designed and created the fine motor activity for 12 - 18 months by cutting holes of different sizes and added sensorial textures to engage them for an individual assignment under Motor Skills Development Module
-
Ensured that there were no sharp edges that could cut the children while they were playing
WHAT I LEARNED
-
Choosing age appropriate materials for the children to develop their pincer grasp and strength their fingers without getting hurt
-
Adding sensorial elements can help stimulate and engage them longer
-
Importance of taking every single element into consideration to make sure that it is developmentally appropriate
challenges
-
Making the resources out by hand
-
Sourcing for the right materials through trial and error
-
Making sure that every aspect of the resource is friendly, no sharp cuts on the bottle
